The Opalescence Boost teeth-whitening system delivers noticeable results in one visit. We offer both Opalescence Boost in-office and take-home trays that allow you to brighten your smile on terms that work best for you.

The Opalescence Boost Whitening System

Opalescence Boost is a professional, in-office teeth whitening treatment renowned for its efficiency and effectiveness. Unlike traditional at-home kits, Opalescence is administered by dental professionals, ensuring a safe, controlled, and highly customized experience.

Opalescence teeth whitening stands out for its unique formulation and delivery system. Its powerful yet gentle bleaching gel, when coupled with a specialized activation light, penetrates deep into the tooth enamel, producing stunning results in a fraction of the time.

Preparing for Opalescence Boost

Alpine Family Dental prioritizes oral health and ensures you’re a good candidate for teeth whitening. Treating any decay or disease before whitening is crucial to achieving successful results. Our team will perform a thorough examination to check for cavities and gum disease. Once you’re cleared for an Opalescence Boost teeth whitening regimen, you will be offered an in-office or take-home whitening system based on your needs.

How Opalescence Teeth Whitening Works

The Science Behind Opalescence Boost

Opalescence Boost employs a carbamide peroxide-based gel, a compound recognized for its exceptional whitening properties. This gel, applied directly to the teeth, breaks down stains and discoloration without compromising tooth structure.

Active Ingredients and Their Role in Teeth Whitening

Carbamide peroxide undergoes a controlled breakdown, releasing oxygen molecules that penetrate enamel and dentin, oxidizing and removing deep-seated stains. This targeted approach ensures maximum effectiveness with minimal sensitivity.

Safety Considerations and Potential Side Effects

Opalescence Boost is a safe and well-tolerated procedure when administered by a trained professional. While some individuals may experience temporary sensitivity, it’s typically mild and short-lived. Your dental provider will discuss any specific considerations during the consultation.

Opalescence Boost Process

The entire procedure typically takes around one to two hours, making it a convenient option for those with busy schedules. You can expect to see noticeable improvements in the shade of your teeth after just one session.

Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Preparation: Your dental professional will start by protecting your gums and soft tissues with a barrier.
  2. Application of the Whitening Gel: The Opalescence Boost whitening gel will be carefully applied to your teeth.
  3. Activation with Specialized Light: A specialized activation light will be used to enhance the gel’s effectiveness. This light accelerates the whitening process.
  4. Monitoring and Reapplication (if necessary): Your dental provider will monitor the progress and may reapply the gel for additional sessions, depending on the desired level of whitening.

Candidacy for Opalescence Teeth Whitening

Opalescence whitening is suitable for a wide range of candidates, from those with mild to moderate staining to individuals looking for a quick, noticeable improvement in their smile’s brightness. It is important to consult with a dental professional to determine if Opalescence Boost is the right option for you.

Factors That May Influence Eligibility

Certain dental conditions or existing restorations may impact candidacy for Opalescence Boost. Your dentist will conduct a thorough assessment to ensure the treatment aligns with your oral health needs. Some factors may include:

  • Types of teeth stains
  • Existing dental restorations
  • Oral health conditions
  • Sensitivity and allergies
  • Pregnancy or nursing
  • Age
  • Medication and health history
  • Expectations and goals
  • Compliance with pre-treatment instructions
  • Budget considerations
  • Patient comfort and preferences

Benefits of Teeth Whitening

A bright, white smile can make a huge impact on your overall appearance and confidence. If your smile isn’t as shiny as you would like, consider a teeth whitening treatment. Professional teeth whitening is a safe, effective, and non-invasive way to achieve a brighter, more attractive smile.

  • Improved confidence
  • Enhanced appearance
  • Customizable treatment
  • Safe and effective
  • Non-invasive
  • Long-lasting results
  • Affordable
  • Remove stubborn stains

Opalescence Tooth Whitening vs. Alternative Whitening Methods

At-Home Whitening Kits

While at-home kits offer convenience, they may not provide the same level of customization and professional oversight as Opalescence Boost. The in-office procedure ensures a controlled environment and highly concentrated whitening agents for faster, more dramatic results.

Other In-Office Procedures

Compared to other in-office teeth whitening products and treatments, Opalescence teeth whitening often requires less chair time and produces equally impressive results. Its gentle formulation and efficient activation process make it a preferred choice for many individuals seeking a brighter smile.

Making an Informed Choice Based on Individual Preferences

Selecting the right teeth whitening method depends on various factors, including the severity of staining, desired outcome, and budget considerations. Consulting with a dental professional will help determine the best approach for achieving your desired results.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re considering teeth whitening while pregnant, breastfeeding, or undergoing IVF, you may be concerned about its safety. Although there are no studies specifically investigating the effects of teeth whitening during pregnancy, the American Dental Association (ADA) recommends that clinicians consider advising against it. We support this recommendation and suggest that pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as those undergoing fertility treatments, avoid using teeth whitening products.

Opalescence teeth whitening is formulated to minimize sensitivity. However, if you have particularly sensitive teeth, your dental professional may recommend alternative whitening options.
